DIY Liberty Rose Hair Clips

These hair clips were actually made for my by H as a wedding present, perhaps as my token ‘something blue’ as the rhyme goes! It’s about time I put them up on the blog considering the wedding party was way back in September. Sorry for the delay, H!

They’re made really simply by folding and curling the fabric around into a rose shape, I did something very similar last summer for my rose headband (great minds!) The rose can then be stitched secure and simply glued on to a metal hair slide.

H used Liberty Tana Lawn to make these clips extra special and it’s one of my favourite classic prints ‘Hera’. I have a skirt in Hera so perhaps I should wear them together?!

These clips are also perfect for adding to a felt hat band for a bit of extra detail, I also clipped mine onto a ribbon around my wrist to create a DIY corsage. Do you have any other ideas of how to wear them?

It was pretty cold outside! Isn’t our pink door amazing though? Pretty much sold H and I the house. Hope you’ve all had a good start to your weeks!

P.s. How good is my pink sherbet Mohair jumper?! Sale bargain from The Hambledon in Winchester!
