Last week H and I were invited to visit Cath Kidston’s HQ to celebrate all thing’s Mother’s Day, or as Cath Kidston put it, our ‘Bloomin’ Marvellous Mums’! The HQ is exactly as you’d imagine: floral wallpapers, Pinterest-worthy photos and vintage knick knacks everywhere. It ‘s probably the best office we’ve been to, perhaps we should apply for every CK job going?
We met up with all the other bloggers in the staff canteen (‘canteen’ really doesn’t do it justice), where CK’s chef had prepared us the most amazing food. Chicken skewers, salmon tarts, sandwiches and cakes… HELLO. Apparently he makes all of the staff poached eggs for breakfast too, we think the female-dominated workforce may all be a little in love with him.
After a few drinks and chats we settled down to a flower arranging workshop with Grace and Thorn, a Hackney based florist who we already loved. Their instagram is pretty great.
Laura from Grace and Thorn showed us how to arrange a small bouquet in a mug. A cute and easy way of adding blooms around the house. H went for a more refined bunch whereas I went a little wild and wonderful.
You can see a few more pictures from the evening over on Cath Kinston’s Pinterest. We both had so much fun and can’t wait to try out our new flower arranging skills, thank you CK for inviting us along! Have you thought about how you’ll be celebrating Mother’s Day this year? Only a few days left to get those cards sent!
