H’s Tapestry Progress

Good Evening! I think Spring finally arrived in Berlin this weekend, is it lovely where you are too?

Over the last 2 weeks R shared some great tapestry guides with you and I have been using them to help me start up. If you haven’t had a look yet, definitely give them a read and definitely start tapping (or is it tapestrying? – R and I have been using tapping..)

I was working on a larger cushion front with elephants from the same design that R’s Mum used for this cushion years ago. I was making good progress with it and R bet me a drink I couldn’t finish it by the end of April…. I failed and haven’t touched it since the 1st :( I guess without the incentive I found better things to make? It is very very time consuming and I think it’s not the best craft to expect to be doing every day. BUT it is perfect for picking up every so often to do a little bit.

I have started my second little project now. It’s a small design to make into a zippered pouch for a friend’s birthday. I am still just messing around with a few different design ideas but here is the first little bee one I have made. My plan is to sew it up into a lined coin purse with a zip fastening. Will share the final results. Now I’ve got to give this bee some neon stripes!
