Knitting & Stitching Show Roundup

If you were on twitter or Instagram over the weekend you probably saw our posts from the Knitting & Stitching show. We were there right through from Thursday to Sunday selling our kits and chatting crafts to everyone who came our way. Read on to see our best bits from the show!

TOFT had a live crocheting installation this year and decorated it with brightly coloured wool lollipops. How pretty are these?

We only had a small stand but made it as colourful and crafty as possible. We did some live paper piecing and had lots of conversations with people who hadn’t done paper piecing since they were little – over 60 years in some cases! We were making up a couple of our cushion kits which were really popular – we even sold out of one colourway.

One of our favourite fabric stands at the show was The Fabric Fox. Kirsty and Lee who run the business are super lovely and kept us entertained in some of the quieter hours.

We went out on Saturday night after the show for a couple of drinks with one of the lovely ladies who works with Tilly (and the buttons) and Genevieve from Floss & Mischief. Fair to say we got up to a little too much mischief and our heads hurt on Sunday. Ow.

Tilly and the Buttons’ and Floss & Mischief’s stands were incidentally two of the best!

Another favourite stand and new-fabric-find was Fabrics Galore. They have the best selection of dressmaking fabrics at reasonable prices (some Liberty prints were only Β£8 a metre!) and are so friendly. We’re going to have to visit their shop in Battersea soon.

We had such a good time at the show but are pretty glad to be back sat down in an office for a few days now, shows are definitely an endurance sport. Thanks to everyone who came to say hello and bought something – we can’t wait to see what you all make!

Fabrics Galore is indeed fantastic! It’s down the road from me and I keep finding myself (fatally) ‘just popping in’…
