Liberty Coin Purse

I have a bit of an obsession with Liberty fabric, if I could afford it I think I’d make everything using it. Last week I bought a small piece of the ‘Mitsi’ print in green on eBay. It’s only 35x35cm so I decided I’d try and make a small coin purse with it. I ordered the kiss clasp on eBay for £3.80 and it arrived today – perfect for an evening of crafting! I completely improvised in terms of the pattern but I don’t think it turned out too badly

I love how it matches my turquoise Cambridge Satchel – perfect spring colours.

These photos show parts of the construction process – to get the fabric into the clasp you glue it in and crimp the metal down using pliers. I’d be more than happy to post a tutorial too if anyone would like one!

I’m going to order some more clasps from eBay and make more of these for friends and family. I like the idea of a collection of different Liberty print coin purses, how pretty they’d all look together!
