Liberty Pillowcases: A Collaboration

We have wanted to get involved in more crafty collaborations for a while now, so when Katy asked if we would like to work on a project together we jumped at the chance. Katy blogs over at Apartment Apothecary and we love reading her posts and admiring her photography. Katy suggested some Liberty print pillowcases that she would sew up and then we would add some crocheted trims. Unfortunately our crochet skills are still pretty appalling and we struggle to make anything that resembles more than a little knot of wool. SO we went on a hunt for some pretty trims to add instead!

For the pillowcase tutorial head over to Katy’s post here. For our half of the project we decided to embellish one edge of the pillowcases with a trim we bought in a dressmaking shop. Really easy to sew on just position, pin and sew. Technically we should have added these before the pillowcases were sewn up but we didn’t want to undo any of Katy’s handiwork!

Liberty Pillowcases With Trim

A bit thank you to Katy for asking us to get involved with this collaboration, we’ve loved working with one of our favourite crafty people (and how good are her photos?!)

Have you got any ideas for a craft collaboration?
