Last week I finally finished a secret project I’ve been working on. It was a birthday present for a boyfriend of one of my best friends – she’d commissioned it a month earlier and I’d been busy tapping away at it ever since! Her boyfriend loves vinyl records so I designed a simple, stylised turntable in monochrome with just a couple of touches of bright red. It was an absolute nightmare trying to get the circles right – a tapestry stitch is essentially a square… circles and squares, need I say more? I think I got it right in the end though!
This is one of my first self-designed tapestry projects so I’m really proud of it. According to my friend her boyfriend likes it too which is the main thing!
As well as dropping the turntable cushion off in London last week I also attended the Company Style Blogger Awards. Have a read of the post H wrote about it and see what we got up to! It was such a fun evening and so nice to meet some lovely bloggers.
Now that this cushion is finished I’ve got to think up some new tapestry projects! Do you have any ideas for designs? Inspire me!
