Twisted Knitted Bracelet

This little bracelet once again developed out of a mistake. I was actually trying to make one of my Knitted Necklaces but made the tube too short; I really should learn to count my stitches better. However, after experimenting with the tube I discovered that it wrapped around my wrist twice – perfect! People have told me that they’ve seen knitted jewellery in shops this season so perhaps I’m (accidentally) on-trend.

If you’d like to make a similar bracelet it’s just a thin tube of stocking stitch, I cast on about 90 stitches and did 9 rows. This tube is then twisted and hand stitched in place with a button sewn on to one end.

I think that pretty wool knitted up on fine needles like this has a really delicate look, from a distance it almost looks like lots of small beads. I’m slightly wary of looking like a crazy person with a completely home-knitted outfit though so I think I’ll wear this without any other knitted garments…

I’d love to know what you think of it!
