Workshop FAQs

If you can’t find the answer you’re looking for here drop us an email at

Where are the workshops held?

Most workshops will be held in our studio on Broadway Market, London. We are about 10 minutes walk from Bethnal Green tube station or about 5 minutes from London Fields overground station. A map and full instructions will be sent out close to the date of your booked workshop. Occasionally we will hold workshops at another location, for example at the West Elm store in London.

Do I need to bring my own sewing machine?

Nope, we have machines here for you to use! We work in partnership with Janome so have Janome CXL301 machines for you to use. If you would rather bring along your own machine to use that is absolutely fine.

Help, I can’t sew! Can I still attend?

All workshops will have a description of who they are suitable for. If you’re unsure, just send us a quick message.

Do you provide any food?

Tea, coffee, cold drinks and snacks are available throughout our workshops. For some special workshop events we also provide breakfast or lunch, check your workshop description for full details.

If we aren’t providingย lunch there are plenty of places near to buy food and you have an hour to go out and explore. You’re also welcome to stay in the workshop room if you’d prefer to bring your own food.

Can I book you for a private workshop?

Yes! We’d love to hear your ideas and can offer a big range of workshops. Please send us a message with what you’re after and we’ll get back to you asap.

Can I get a refund?

Workshop tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangable. In the event ofย undersubscription of a class we reserve the right to cancel the class no less than 48 hours before the date. In this case all attendees will be offered an exchange or full refund.

Is there anywhere nearby you can recommend to stay?

The closest hotel to us is the RE Shoreditch. There is also a Premier Inn in Dalston, Hackney which is not too far away.
