Sustainable Sewing
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
At The New Craft House sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. By arming our customers with the knowledge and tools to sew a more sustainable handmade wardrobe, we're fighting against fast fashion culture and the environmental impact of it.
All of our fabric and haberdashery is also true designer deadstock, sourced directly from designers who have it leftover. Much of this surplus fabric and trims would have been destined for landfill or in some cases incinerated. You can shop our fabric knowing that you're helping to reduce waste in the fashion industry.
About Us
We're Hannah and Rosie, the co-founders of The New Craft House. We've been friends since school and set up our business together in 2013.
We sell true designer deadstock fabrics and haberdashery and run sewing workshops from our studio and shop near Broadway Market in Hackney. You can usually find us there so pop in, browse our fabrics and say hello!
We now also have a wonderful team who also help us to keep everything run smoothly, you can meet them all here.
We’d love to hear from you, you can find us on Instagram or email us at studio@thenewcrafthouse.com.
