The session will take place in our shop just around the corner from Broadway Market. It's about 15 minutes walk from Bethnal Green tube station, 10 minutes from London Fields and Cambridge Heath overground stations.
TALK OVERVIEW
Join Alice and Lilia of Alice & Co Patterns for a romp through 2000 years of fashion history in 45 minutes!
Over the past year Alice and Lilia have been running holding a series of monthly online sessions exploring fashion history from a pattern cutting point-of-view called ‘Behind The Seams: A Pattern Cutter’s Guide to Fashion History’.
They will share what they’ve learnt about the history of pattern-cutting, and give us their top tips for looking to the past for inspiration.
You will leave with lots of historically-informed ideas for this season’s wardrobe, whether you are designing from scratch or hacking your pattern collection, or embellishing clothes you already have.
There will also be a chance to shop and mingle, with prosecco of course!
