WHO IS THIS CLASS FOR?

This class is suitable for beginner/intermediate sewists. Anyone who feels confident using a sewing machine and has used a paper pattern before. If you're a more experienced sewist it'll still be a fun day of sewing a beautiful dress and you're welcome to join! If you haven't used a paper pattern before we recommend taking our Learn to Sew Clothes class first.

CLASS INCLUDES:

+ All tools and equipment
+ Fusible interfacing
+ A full paper pattern for you to keep and reuse
+ Drinks and sweet treats to keep you going throughout the class.

STUDENTS NEED TO BRING:

+Their pre-cut pattern. To save time in class we'll send all students their patterns before the class to cut their size. If you need any help picking a size we can help you with that!
+ Fabric (4-4.5m depending on size) and matching thread for your dress. Lawn, crepe de chine and cottons work well. We can advise you on what fabrics will work best and you'll be sent through a full list of requirements before the course starts.

WHERE?

The workshop will take place in our studio around the corner from Broadway Market. We have a dedicated workshop room at the back where you can sew in peace and still see the hustle and bustle of the shop. It's about 15 minutes walk from Bethnal Green tube station, 5 minutes from London Fields and Cambridge Heath Overground stations. The studio is at ground floor level with no steps. It is fully accessible and has a fully accessible toilet.
