Fabric Masterclass with Fiona Parker

Thursday 9th March 2023
6pm - 8:30pm

32 Bocking Street, London, E8 3FP

The masterclass will take place in our shop just around the corner from Broadway Market. It's about 15 minutes walk from Bethnal Green tube station, 10 minutes from London Fields and Cambridge Heath overground stations.

Come and spend an evening with Fiona Parker learning about all things fabric related!
Do you step into a fabric shop and feel overwhelmed by what's on offer? Or scroll endlessly through fabric websites feeling confused by all the terminology? Fabric selection is key to the success of a handmade garment and this class aims to leave you feeling much more confident in your choices.

The class will begin with half an hour of drinks and mingling followed by a talk (around an hour long) from Fiona about what you need to consider when shopping for fabric and how fabric choice will affect your garment. This will be followed by a Q&A session so you can get answers to any fabric questions you've always wanted to ask. The evening will finish with time to browse the fabrics in store with Fiona on hand to guide your choices.
With drinks and snacks on offer too, this class should also be a good chance to catch up with sewing friends and spend the evening surrounded by beautiful fabrics.
