This ex-designer fabric is an exquisite lace. It is a guipure or 'bobinnet' lace. Cotton flowers are connected with thin plaits of yarn rather than the whole fabric being backed in a mesh. This is a more delicate and labour intensive process than making standard lace. The design features sunflowers with raised centres. Light to medium weight with an incredible softness, delicate drape, and lush handle. Would make a lovely sheer top!
