We've answered some of the most common questions we get asked about workshops here. If you can't find what you're looking for, drop us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Where are the workshops held?
All workshops are held at our studio in Broadway Market, London Fields. This is about a 15 minute walk from Bethnal Green tube station and 10 minutes from London Fields overground station. Our full address is 6 Broadway Market Mews, E8 4TS. We are the mews that runs behind Broadway Market, accessed by Regents Row.
Do I need my own sewing machine?
Our studio is fully equipped with Pfaff sewing and overlocking machines. We use the Quilt Ambition 630s, Hobbylock 2.5 and Coverlock 3.0. If you would prefer to bring your own machine that's absolutely fine too.
How big are the classes?
Depending on the activity, class sizes range from 6-12 people.
Do I need to bring anything along to the workshops?
Please check each individual listing for what you need to bring along. We'll send you an email the week before the class too, detailing what (if anything) you need to bring!
Are your workshops easily accessible?
Our workshops are fully accessible. We are on the ground floor with no steps and have an accessible toilet. If you have accessibility needs that you would like to discuss please drop us an email at email@example.com.
Can you recommend anywhere to stay nearby?
A new hotel Mama Shelter has opened up just a few minutes' walk away and is very lovely. There is also a Travelodge just 15 minutes' walk away or a Premier Inn in Dalston 20 minutes away which are good budget options.
Are the workshops ok for children?
Most of our workshops are suitable for children, but anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult attending the workshop.
Can I cancel a workshop?
Unfortunately our workshop spaces are non-refundable. Up to a month before the class we will offer you an exchange to another date. If we can find a replacement for your spot you will receive a full refund.
Will Hannah's dog Twigs be at workshops?
Twigs might be there for classes, but if you'd rather she wasn't please just drop us an email and we'll arrange a dog sitter! She is half greyhound, very friendly and very lazy. You can see a picture of her here.
Can I buy fabric at the workshops?
YES! You can browse and shop our range of ex-designer, deadstock fabric in the classes. You also receive a 10% fabric discount if you're attending a class.
Can I book a private class?
We can run most of our classes as private lessons if you'd prefer. Drop us an email for prices and more info - firstname.lastname@example.org. We can also arrange private tuition for any other kind of sewing project you'd like, including beginner classes.
