PROJECT

In this workshop you will learn everything you need to create your own hand made patchwork quilt! You will be guided through the cutting and patchwork process and sew a small sample to get you comfortable with the techniques. Then you will learn how to prepare and baste a quilt ready for hand-stitching, followed by learning quilting techniques. We will be practising big stitch quilting using cotton sashiko thread and will discuss other kinds of hand and machine quilting.

WHAT WILL THIS COURSE COVER?

During this workshop you will work on a sample piece to learn the essential skills of patchwork and quilting.

+ How to cut your patchwork pieces
