DATE, TIME AND LOCATION
Saturday 4th March
2pm - 5pm
32 Bocking Street, London, E8 3FP
The deep dive class will take place in our shop just around the corner from Broadway Market. It's about 15 minutes walk from Bethnal Green tube station, 10 minutes from London Fields and Cambridge Heath overground stations.
Save all of your precious knits by learning how to darn them! You'll learn how to skillfully repair your knitted items to keep them in your wardrobe for longer. This mending workshop will be focusing specifically on darning, which is a method used to mend holes in garments or textile pieces. The method works by interweaving yarns to reinforce your holes back to life.
Perfect for socks, jumpers, scarves and any holey knitted items you might have. Especially useful to do at this time of year as they've all had lots of wear over the winter months.
WHAT WILL THIS CLASS COVER?
+ Learn the traditional method of woven darning
+ How to start and finish off your mends

Lucy started her darning journey in 2017 working with fabrics and vintage pieces.
The focus of her classes are to bring a new life to your loved garments, exploring either visible or invisible mending through darning. She likes to create a space for sharing stories on how our holes have appeared while mending together.
