CLASS OVERVIEW

The Everyday Shirt is a wardrobe essential! With long sleeves, softened shoulders and a relaxed fit through the body it’s the perfect mix between sophisticated and casual. It is the perfect addition to your capsule wardrobe that will get worn year after year. Learning to sew a shirt teaches you a range of essentials, like sewing a placket, yoke and collar. Over this two day course, we will go through all of the essentials to make our new Everyday Shirt pattern. Sew it up in a classic crispy poplin for a smarter look, or a slinky crepe de chine for a more luxurious shirt - a very versatile pattern!

WHAT WILL THIS COURSE COVER?

+ How to measure and select the right size pattern for your desired fit
+ How to sew a yoke using the burrito method
+ How to sew a collar and attach it to your shirt
+ How to sew a sleeve placket and cuff to give your shirt a traditional, professional finish
+ How to sew a felled seam
+ How to create a professional and neat button placket

This is a practical class where you will leave with a brand new Everyday Shirt!
